MSP (Member Success Program): MSP Training is a required prerequisite to presenting your business to the chapter. If you have not yet completed MSP training, please notify Melissa Bigginsimmediately so that she can delay your presentation date until such time that you have met this requirement.
On the right side of the screen you will find the Member Biography Sheet. Please download and complete it and bring it with you on the day of your presentation so that we can share your successes with the chapter when you are introduced.
Projector, AV Cart and Screen: Please contact Melissa Biggins with the details of your presentation to insure that you have a technically smooth presentation experience. Melissa will be assisting you with any needs you may have for your presentation such as a Projector, AV Cart and Screen or other setup requirements as well as transition from one presentation to another. She will help determine which presenter will go first and any other items that you may need. The best way to reach Melissa is via email at melissa@innerbalancect.com or you can call her at 860-608-7453. Also please note that there is a $2 Bulb replacement fee due the day of your presentation if you would like to use the chapter projector.
Tips and Timing: You have 7 minutes to present your business to the chapter. Great presentations in the past have included information such as who specifically makes a good referral for you, what things set your business apart from other businesses in the industry, your background and education. Also, it can be a powerful tool to incorporate some testimonials or stories about people you have helped in your presentation. Please feel free to reach out to the chapter mentor, Andrew Nollman, if you would like assistance with the content of your presentation.
If you wish, you can time your presentation to allow a couple of minutes for questions and answers at the end. Please be sure to build that in if you would like.
Content: Please keep in mind that the content of your presentation should be confined to your primary BNI business category to avoid confusion and overlap. While we realize and recognize that you many of you may have other business interests, your membership is specific to one category that is exclusively yours and should be the only business you promote within the confines of BNI.
Door Prize: Lastly, each presenter is required to bring a door prize valued at around $25 (or more if you would like) on the day that you present. Your door prize should be something for the members to remember you by, so be creative and don’t miss out on an opportunity to be memorable! Please deliver said door prize to the Vice President, Shannon Quesada, when you arrive at the meeting on the day you will present.
If you need to Re-schedule: Please notify Melissa immediately if you should have a conflict for the above listed date. Please note that if you should cancel within 2 weeks of your scheduled date, you will be required to find another member to fill the presentation spot for that week. Thank you for your consideration!
ENJOY!: This is a great opportunity to showcase your business, your personality and your passion to the chapter. So remember, relax and have fun with it!
