A few weeks ago Peter had offered me to quote a job for him and got my name in front of the new owners of the Marina in Downtown Norwich. Both jobs were home runs for my company. In 2 years of active BNI, Peter and I rarely spoke until this point.
So, when I needed concrete work at the US Post Office, I brought Peter on board to give me a hand, saw cutting some concrete. This job was estimated to be 4" thick and take him like 20 minutes. OK, it turned out to be 20" thick, multiple pours, steel wire the diameter of a pencil and a lot of jack hammering and debris. Not only did Peter do this but he did it after 5pm and we finished the final mix of concrete into the wee hours. he personally jack hammered for 2 hours with his son. Both would not even take 5 minutes to eat a Subway. They just kept telling me, "we can eat later, we're all set...let's finish the job first!" All this in the pouring rain and it was approximately 35 degrees out.
This is the type of work ethic this man has, even afterwards he swept up the parking area and offered to take away the debris. While there, the Postmaster asked him to quote rebuilding the front of the building that 3 months earlier a car had run into and pushed the block in approx 8". This could be a huge opportunity for Peter. I will do everything I can to recommend him for this job and many more.
Thank you Peter for your energy! We need more people like you.
